Apply to MSc European Forestry

MSc European Forestry warmly welcomes talented and enthousiastic students from all over the world to apply. The minimum eligibility criteria are good command of English language and BSc degree in forestry or related field. The next MSc European Forestry Course begins in August 2015.

Application procedure step by step

The call for MSc European Forestry student applications will be open during 17 November 2014 - 7 January 2015. We strongly advice you to gather all the necessary documents for you application as soon as possible. Especially acquiring a TOEFL or IELTS language test scores may take several weeks or even months depending on the test organiser's ability to offer you a test. After you have succesfully completed the on-line form, you will be requested to send it as a paper application to the University Admissions Finland. The paper application must arrive at the University Admissions Finland on 7 January 2015, 4 p.m. (GMT +2) at the latest. Applications arriving after the deadline will not be considered in the student selection, hence please consider sending the application via courier mail such as TNT, DHL, FedEx, or similar. Depending on the country that you shall send your application, regular post may take up to weeks to arrive in the University Admissions.


student scholarships

For the first academic year, the MSc European Forestry students are eligible to apply student scholarships from the University of Eastern Finland. In 2015, the UEF student scholarships will be 500 EUR per month, maximum of 10 months per academic year. Available scholarships can be applied later in spring 2015 and are available on a competitive basis.

Erasmus Mundus student scholarships will not be available in 2015, because the Erasmus Mundus agreement between the the European Commision and MSc European Forestry has come to an end in 2014.

Academic Scholars

Scholars are merited academics who wish to collaborate with the Consortium universities in research or teaching. Scholars with good English language skills and a completed graduate degree are eligible to apply for 2-12 week scholar grants.
